A few years ago, I found myself craving something simple and hands-on. I was inspired by artists who used stippling to draw whatever surrounded them — often wildlife like bison, elk, or mountain landscapes. At the time, my family was living in downtown Kitchener, and when I looked around, I saw beautiful century homes everywhere. So that’s what I decided to draw.

On my lunch breaks, I would walk through Victoria Park, find a bench, and sketch the homes I saw around me. After sharing a few drawings on social media, people began asking if I did commissions, and that’s when Our Paper Homes was born.

Since then, I’ve drawn over 60 homes as keepsake gifts. From starter homes for newlyweds to childhood homes filled with distant memories, each drawing preserves the lasting moments created in the places we call home.

To be considered for the gallery, please submit high-resolution photos of your work, along with a brief artist’s statement and your contact information. We welcome all mediums, including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and more.
